Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is a style of yoga that uses a chair (bet you didn’t see that coming 😉) for either seated postures or to assist you in your balance when standing.
Using a chair helps those who cannot safely get onto the ground still reap the benefits that yoga has to offer them.
This style of yoga is for you if you’re experiencing impaired balance and coordination, are recovering from an injury, older or are simply looking to experience your yoga practice in a different way.
When you participate in a chair yoga class, the benefits you’ll receive are:
Increased flexibility
Promote mobility
Improve your core strength and balance
So, come to class, have a laugh, and explore a new style of yoga.
Teen Yoga
Yoga is becoming increasingly more popular among the younger generations, even my daughter loves it!
But sometimes classes at a yoga studio can feel intimidating or overwhelming to your teen.
In the safety of your neighbor’s home, teen yoga is a great way for your child to improve their physical activity without the focus on appearance,
In fact, when your teenager develops a consistent yoga practice it’ll also help:
Increase their sense of optimism
Improve focus and concentration
Develops discipline and self-regulation
Helps to foster positive body-image and self-esteem
High school is a tricky time… you all remember those days, don’t you?
Power Yoga
With a certification in Baptiste yoga, there’s no secret to my love of challenging, endurance-building activities.
Power yoga takes what you’ve seen in a traditional vinyasa class, and spices things up a bit!
During a power yoga class, you can expect to:
Move quickly and intentionally to stabilize your core muscles
Use kettlebells or dumbbells to add additional strength training into your practice.
Hear myself and others cheering you on in support of your goals
Leave feeling better than you arrived
Power yoga classes are every Wednesday at my home in New Boston, NH!
